ದಂಟು ಸೊಪ್ಪಿನ ಪಲ್ಯ ~ Dantu Soppina palya

Dantina palya

 A simple recipe & healthy dish made using danttu soppu.


Ingredients :
Dantu Soppu/Amaranth Leaves : 1 bunch
Onion : 1 small
Garlic : few cloves
oil : 1 tsp
mustard seeds, curry leaves for seasoning.



Method:
Clean & chop  the leaves, no need to chop finely. Chop onion.
 
Take a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, when it splutters,add onion, garlic,you can use onion/garlic or both. when it turns transparent.
 

Add chopped leaves, saute for a while, keep it on low flame.
 
Let it cook for in low flame, no need of adding water , if the leaves are fresh, if not need to sprinkle some water.
  
Nice to have with Roti, Chapati & Rice.


If you want to spice up the dish you can add green chillies.

  2. What about adding either green or red chillies are we supposed to add it or not?

  3. Normally, this dish is prepared with another spicy side dish for chapati or roti, so preferably it's made without chilli, any type of chilli can be added it tastes good.
