Sankranti Ellu Bella

Sankranti habba, its a joyful festival for little girls as they get dressed up & visit their friends, relatives homes to exchange Ellu - Bella mixture, called as Ellu beeruvudu..

Ingredients :

Seasame seeds/Til  - 1/2 cup

Ground nuts - 1 cup

Dalia dal/Hurigadale - 1 cup

Jggery - 1 cup

Dry coconut - 1 cup

Sugar coated cumin seeds - 2 tsp (optional)

Method :

Peel the skin of dry coconut, cut in to small pieces.

Dry roast grount nut, keep on medium flame, take care while roasting as it should not get burned, roast it until it turns light golden in color, peel off them.

Dry roast the sesame seeds in medium flame.

Cut jaggery into small pieces.

Mix all the ingredients.

The ingredients can be varied in proportions.

Its very tasty mixture, with all nutrients, as its said ellu/til is good for health in winter season.
