Hesarubele Payasa

This sweet dish is a lovely one, it tastes great, its cool one to have in summers.

Moong dal : 2 cups
Jaggery/Sugar : as per taste 
Poppy seeds : 2 tsp
cardamom : 1/2 tsp
Ghee : 1- 2 tsp
Dry/Fresh coconut : 1 Tbsp
Dry fruits : ur choice

Roast moong dal with a tsp of ghee in a kadai, until it turns light golden brown.
Then pressure cook it for 2 - 3 whistles with 3 - 4 cups of water.
Make a thin syrup of jaggery, filter it.
Roast poppy seeds & grind it with coconut to a smooth paste.
Now add cooked dal to the syrup add ground paste, cardamom, enough water & bring it to boil.
Fry the dry fruits in ghee & add them to payasa.

Serve with ghee

You can make this payasa in simple way also, excluding poppy & coconut, this makes payas thin, so one can drink it as it will be more watery.
