Kumbalakai Payasa

Pumpkin Payasa..



A sweet dish made by Pumpkin, tastes good.

Ingredients :
Pumpkin : 1 -2 cup
Channa dal : 1 Tbsp
Chiroti rava : 1/2 cup 
Jaggery : 1 cup (as per the taste)
Dry coconut/Fresh coconut : 2 tsp
Poppy seeds : 1 - 2 tsp
Cardamom powder : 1/2 tsp

Method :
Peel the pumpkin, cut in to small pieces. Pressure cook pumpkin pieces, channa dal together.



Make jaggery syrup.
Add cooked pumpkin pieces & dal to the syrup add water if required & bring it to boil, when it starts boiling add chiroti rava to get thick consistency .



 Roast poppy seeds, grind it with coconut (dry/fresh) to a smooth paste & add to the payasa, let it cook for a while.



Add cardamom powder, raisins & dry fruits can be added (fried in ghee)



Serve with ghee.
