A simple recipe & healthy dish made using danttu soppu.
Dantu Soppu/Amaranth Leaves : 1 bunch
Onion : 1 small
Garlic : few cloves
oil : 1 tsp
mustard seeds, curry leaves for seasoning.
Clean & chop the leaves, no need to chop finely. Chop onion.
Take a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, when it splutters,add onion, garlic,you can use onion/garlic or both. when it turns transparent.
Add chopped leaves, saute for a while, keep it on low flame.
Let it cook for in low flame, no need of adding water , if the leaves are fresh, if not need to sprinkle some water.
Nice to have with Roti, Chapati & Rice.
If you want to spice up the dish you can add green chillies.
